These products are so fabulous that I can hardly contain my excitement!!  Just visiting the website sets my heart to pitter patter!!  When you go poking around, when you look at these products, and you actually believe that just by using them–you will have a good time! And honestly, I truly think you will…

You see, I think makeup has a history of covering this or hiding that–fixing an imperfection here or there–but what if there was a makeup that allowed you to highlight this, or accentuate that….what if there was a makeup that allowed you to have a little fun??

AH-HA! There is!  It’s called Benefit.

Now, a little background, the first time Benefit became available near me was right around the same time that I left for college.  I loved them but found I couldn’t continue to purchase the products on a student budget.  I have tried some makeup here and there but in the end I wound up taking a hiatus from makeup wearing–until recently.

For my birthday, my hubby bought me a few starter pieces to kick off my cool makeup collection. So, without further adieu–allow me to introduce you to the stuff I love and the stuff I would love to try.

BADgal Blue

Ok, I know what you are thinking. BLUE mascara??? Are you CRAZY!? Possibly. Yes. But that has nothing to do with the fact that this stuff is absolutely AMAZING! You should have SEEN the look I gave the girl when she handed it to me to try. “Uhh–thanks but no”…”No, really! Try it! You’ll be surprised!” Now, admittedly she was far cooler than me…and I really liked the pink streaks in her hair…so, I tried it and WOW!  Was she right! This blue mascara does something amazing to those lovely lashes–and, as the website says, it makes “blue appear more blue; brown eyes more golden; and hazel eyes more lush green.” Try it, I swear…you’ll love it! 

Pocket Pal: Benetint + Gloss

Did your mom use rosewater? Your grandma? Well, hey it’s not just a thing of the past. This stuff is perfect for a natural blush that is quick and perfect for any complexion.  I chose the pocket pal because after dabbing a bit of this on your cheeks and lips, you can smooth on a little bit of gloss (and some BADgal Blue) and you are on your way!

High Beam

If you are like me, I love that youthful dewy look. This sheer pink highlighter gives a soft and innocently sexy sheen that says “Is it just me or is it a little steamy in here??”

That Gal

Not to be confused with High Beam, this is meant to go on under your makeup or by itself.  When I don’t have enough time to apply my foundation, I just dab on a bit of this and my Benetint, and head out the door. The soothing properties calm my skin if it is too stressed, and the natural ingredients make my skin feel soft and conditions it all day if I choose to reapply.

I could go on and on…Benefit has a delicious line of vintage glam feeling bath and body products that will make you feel like a Hollywood star from a by-gone era.  There are far too many exiting and fun products to put on here, you will just have to explore for yourself.
