Jessica Moe

Well, Kate mentioned to me that she is missing my blog and frankly I know I should get back into the swing of things here. I have been having a hard time posting about my life moving forward after Jess passed away. Losing someone my own age, a friend…has made the little everyday things that make blogging what it is…it has made it seem so insignifcant…so not worth discussion….So, there. I said it. 

Knowing that it is out there though, knowing that you–reading this–know that just because I post about the new, the good…doesn’t mean that I don’t remember her everyday and don’t think about and pray for her husband who is trying to figure out his life after losing his young wife…or her parents who lost a daughter…

But, now I have some “life news” worth posting. Today, I was able to pry my dear sweet husband away from the sofa and his studies (spatula was required) and take a trip up to Orange County to view the narrowed down list of rentals that I found.  I didn’t anticipate signing anything today, I thought that I would just show Issa some things and we would talk about it over the week but after looking at our three options, the choice was clear.  One was too expense and too far, one was too expensive and too small…and the last one was juuust right.  We will be renting here in one of their lovely townhomes…

So, we move in on August 18th and that give us about two and a half weeks to be free to travel a bit when we leave here. Then, it will give us about a month to get settled before Issa starts work.  I am excited because I think we have a wonderful opportunity to finally be settled a bit and what’s more it give me a bit of a framework for the enxt couple of months–where we are going, where we will be…

Well, that’s about it…small triumphs…small, but it’s what keeps us going…
