Ok, so I have been posting a whole bunch of stuff, hair products I love and general junk…I just want to acknowledge this because I know this post is going to be a departure from that…and it might not stay up here for very long but it is something I just have to stick out there…for now.
Everyone in life has struggles, everyone. Society, interpersonal relationships…they are all so complicated and complex that it is difficult–no–impossible to make it through without them (struggles, I mean). What I find difficult to deal with, though, is the fact that there are people out there don’t realize this and spend an excessive amount of time in their life trying to convince people that they are peachy and they fail to do the work that will make them so.
I know everyone has their own journey, and it takes some longer than others to get to a place of self-realization….but, let’s say I have struggled in my marriage but come through on the other end…and you have struggled financially but come through on the other end…then maybe I can help you with counsel on your marriage, and you can help me with counsel on my finances and we can share in experience?
I just think so many times we find that we hide our difficultes from other people when that is what this whole thing–this life thing—it’s what it is all about…learning, growing….

Hmmmm… if this post is to me, then give me a call!
i think you hit the nail on the head - everyone has their own journey. just because they prefer to work through their struggles behind closed doors rather than talk with everyone else about them doesn’t mean that they aren’t working on their relationships. i think financial counseling from a friend is a lot different from getting (perhaps unwanted) relationship counseling from a friend. sometimes, it really is best to bite your tongue.
