It’s just so easy to…

Write on this blog when the days seem to just breeze by.

Today was a long one.  I had one day of non-insomnia and did well with that but out of nowhere… I am back to the all nighter mentality.

Well, that’s not entirely true. I am actually tired…but not sleepy-tired…just exhausted because, like I said, long day.

Issa is training for a marathon and about a week ago he showed a lump on his knee.  It kind of looks like water-on-the-knee.  Right away we made an appointment for him to be seen at student health here at the University.  It’s kind of a long story but, as luck would have it, he ended up seeing the same doctor he had seen a couple of weeks ago who was a HUGE jerk.  Think “House” meets “Dr. Cox” from Scrubs….and then add in a pinch of wannabe and a dash of insecurity…and you have this guy who referred to Issa as “Sparky”…yes, “Sparky”.  Not in a nice way, either.

Oh, now I have to mention my joke here.  You see, the guy didn’t like that I came into the exam room with Issa and he said “Do you always travel in pairs?” again…not nice…and I said “Well, it is a JOINT issue…” The joke was lost on him…apparently he didn’t like someone being more witty than him.

Ok, so the appointment lasted 5 minutes max.  He basically told Issa to wrap it up and keep running, thankyouverymuch, haveaday–not necessarily a nice one either.  Well, I have to admit I kind of told him the same thing.  Issa said he wanted to see another doctor and so we scheduled him an appointment for next week with a sports medicine guy…

So, fast-forward to last night. Issa shows me his knee and the swelling has gotten worse. So, this morning while he was in physical therapy (for his knees and back)…his mom was able to get him in TODAY with the sports medicine who works in the building attached to the stadium–hah!

Ok, so he goes in and sees the guy–SUPER NICE–no obnoxious pet-names from him…and the guy tells Issa, “Ok, let’s get an x-ray and if that doesn’t show anything we will do an MRI.”   FANTABULOUS. Issa get’s taken seriously and honestly…it’s for the best. I would hate for him to have knee problems his whole life.

So, we were able to schedule an MRI for 9:30 tonight and we went….

And that’s it. Anti-climatic, I know.

So, after the MRI we came home and watched our shows…and it slipped my mind that I needed to tidy the house because the movers (I know I am like a dog with a bone on this issue) but the movers are coming tomorrow.  First thing. 9:00.  I am soo not a morning person.  So, that is why I am forcing myself to stay awake right now.

Why I am sitting here and typing in my blog is anyone’s guess, really.

I just want to reward myself for cleaning the living and dining room in 15 minutes and this is how I am doing it…by taking a break.

OOOoooh!  Also, I found a house on Craigslist that I think will be perfect for us….I wrote the people an e-mail being careful not to sound like a house-stalker….but I think I may have come on a bit too strong.  I know it is almost 3 in the morning…but GOSH DARN WHY HAVEN’T THEY GOTTEN BACK TO ME YET!?!?

By the way, did you see this story??  How HORRIBLE! Read that article or google-news “craigslist prank”

Alright…I have to keep cleaning.  Bye for now.
