I have a lot of un-productive energy and I decided to make a list of everything that needs to be done. One of the most stressful things I am/was facing was the piles and piles of papers in the office. We have just accumulated so many things over the year(s) and it is time to get rid of it or move it to the new place in Orange County–that was not goin to happen. So, I decided that to get going and make some progress on one of the things on my list, and burn off the aforementioned unproductive energy, I would set aside one hour and get through as much paperwork sorting as I possibly could.
I set the timer on the microwave, and within 15 minutes I couldn’t beieve how much I had done! It just looked bad but I did the ole’ “keep”, “toss”, “shred” thing and it flew by. Granted, I still have a box of things to shred and a box of things to file….and a few bags of trash. But, two boxes of sorted stuff are way better than a combination of 15-20 bags and boxes of unsorted stuff–and trash day is tomorrow…..and I love to file, it’s the secretary in me….and shredding is cathartic…
So, anyways…the best part about this whole thing was that I took care of my own stuff, gave Diana her stuff…and Issa his stuff…and everyone got working…so when my microwave timer went off, I realized that I was way futher than I even thought I would be and I decided I might as well just keep going until I finish and then I can cross that task off of my list altogether!!!
I am sooo proud of me. Right now, I am taking a little break for dinner and to write this congratulatory message to myself and then back into the office while AI tapes….and then I will call get to filing during the show and shredding after!!!

YAY!!!! Deep cleaning is sometimes just soooo fun and very cathartic! I hate it and look forward to it every time!
I wish I could do that!
