Dear Blog,
It’s me. I know I haven’t been very good at keeping in touch but I am really going to try to be better. You know when people say “my new year’s resolution is to not make anymore resolutions”? Well, in a way that has been mine..seriously. You see, I make all these resolutions to do things and then…well, then I feel bad when I “screw up” or when I “fail”. You know? I will start a diet and then break down and go to Five Brothers one day and pig out on a burger and fries. Now, did I fail? I think not! I ordered, ate, and thoroughly enjoyed said burger and fries–so that, my friend, is a success.
Besides, diets don’t work–lifestyle changes do. So, that is why I plan on writing here as much as possible. That’s it. It might not be everyday, but it will be as much as I can..and that’s good for me for now.
Ok, moving on…
So, I am LOVING this working out thing. I’ve really found my groove. I am taking Yoga and it’s amazing how much my body remembers about balance and movement. On Monday night I got such an awesome sweat and I really felt a rush–pushing myself to bend, twist, and breathe. Pilates is awesomeone too. It changed a bit after the new year. The insturctor used to play music and it was similar to yoga…but, the schedule was changed and now a new instructor took over. So, for about an hour all I hear is her voice drone on and on…lift this leg, lift that leg, big circles, little circles…yadda yadda. I think I will suggest music. Finally, I am taking this class called Balletone. Ok. This class is proof positive that you can’t judge a class by its name. This class kicks some major boo-tay. With all three of these classes, I should be beach ready by May. I am crossing my fingers.
